August August August!

August brought another busy month. The girls have just returned from Florida. They had a great time with their Boompa and Abuela. Now it was time to start counting down the days for Great Wolf Lodge and our Aunt Mande to come and visit.

While at Great Wold Lodge the girls were able to join in their Jr. Life Guard Program. My friend Let was able come and help me out with the girls, since Travis is still deployed. I am grateful for her help. I would have never been able to keep up with them in that water park!! I know Molly loved going down the Twisted Tornado with Ms. Let!!

August also brought us some very sad news. Our bird Samantha past away. We had Sammie from the time she was two. She was 14 when she died last week. When we are ready I will have to post about her little life and her fiery attitude that she had about it! We will miss her more than words can express.

Let took these pictures of the girls doing the lifeguard program. I was busy filling out paperwork. Poor JuJu fell and sprained her foot and well you know they have to cover their butts!

Our Little Runny Turns 6!!!

Today 6 years ago we were in OKC, living in our new home, with Travis deploying every other month for three weeks. It was a whole different life there in OK compared to WA! Today is also the day that we were sent little Miss Hunter Laurel. Wow what an impressive little girl we have. She is so independent, stubborn, intelligent, and have I mentioned a little DIVA! If it has glitter she has to have it!
We decided to celebrate Hunter's birthday at Young Chef's Academy. They made ice cream and little sugar cookie cups to eat with it. YUMMY!!

Happy Birthday, Little Run Run.

She's a Grand Ol' Flag

In June we were adjusting to Daddy being gone and getting ready for our move to the new house. Only in the next neighborhood but without daddy being here, it would surely be interesting.
After our move on the 30th we were able to try to slowly unpack and celebrate our first holiday without Travis. The girls and I just took it easy. We had our own little BBQ and watch the neighbors light of their fireworks. I was really amazed at the ammunition these folks have!

Well it is about time...

Well I know it is about time, but here I am again and I think and hope that today is the day that I get caught up on my blogging. I last left off in May when my sister was still here and Travis was about to deploy.
Here is an interesting circle of events. I am now blogging again, my sister is visiting again and Travis is about to return from his deployment.
While my sister was here in May we did so many things. We were able to see the Space Needle, Pikes Place Market, The Pacific Science Museum, The Seattle Aquarium, take a cruise around the sound, and my sister and I went whale watching. What an amazing time we had. Of course this time around we are sick, thanks Mande!, so we are just chillin' at the house taking it easy.

First time up to the Space Needle. What a great place and the elevator isn't really all that bad!

The Freemont Bridge and Troll

The Pacific Science Center and Seattle Aquarium

The Zoo- Hunter was so freaked out by the birds, which is so funny considering we have birds here at the house!

Cruise of the Harbor

Our Whale Watching Trip was AMAZING. If you have never done it, I highly recommend it. The whale just swam right up to us. Matter of fact they were so close my lens was to long to take pics of them. I was also so excited, I don't think it would have mattered.
